FS 2009 Ibanez SR500

Sign in to disble this ad
I have an 2009 Ibanez SR500 I wish to sell for $450 shipped. I bought the bass new last year and it has been lightly played, and has never left my non-smoking house. I had to see what all the SR series fuss was about - I do like it better than my BTB, but it is not a fiver.

The bass has no nicks, dents, scrapes, etc. It does have strap locks on it currently, but I will ship with the original hardware in a padded gig bag. The electronics are all original as well.

The bass is currently strung with D'Addario Chromes and plays smooth as silk. I really do not want to part with this one, but it is not seeing any playing time and I have been instructed to "thin the herd" so to speak.

Pardon the pictures, they don't do justice to how nice these look new. If you are looking for a super thin, fast playing bass this is it. It is light and comfortable and the active Bartolini electronics can produce a good range of tones.

A straight sale would be best. I am selling this more to free up real estate more than Benjamins. According to my wife, you can have too many basses. I just built a killer Warmoth and really don't need another fretted four banger.

If this had a nice case I might have to pull the trigger. The Bartolinis alone are worth it!!

I agree for sure. I still have it and I can't see parting with it for too cheap. It's too bad Ibanez gets a bad rep. These SRs are a steal. For now I still get to play it. . Thanks for the nice bump.

I do. Still in the same condition and has essentially been sitting in a case most of the fall. Sad to see such a nice player not get used. GAS had gotten the better of me and I play my Warmoth way more....
