This Xotic XB-2 is incredible in every way but I have concluded that it's just not going to "unseat" my two Custom Brooklyn 5 stringers so I'm offering it up here.
There are no issues of any kind with this bass. I'm just more comfortable with my "jazz style" 5 strings.
This bass was sold new less than a year ago for just under $4K. It was hand built in Los Angeles and the craftsmanship is astonishing!
When I say it's in Mint condition, I really mean "it's really in MINT condition"!!! Not a mark of any kind anywhere on it. It's totally perfect!
It's a 34" scale with 19mm spacing at the bridge. Weight is 9 pounds 12 ounces on my digital scale.
Here is a link to additional specs on the Xotic site: http://www.xotic.us/guitars/availabl...001/index.html $2,850.00 OBO shipped and insured in the CONUS.
Will ship in a standard duty gig bag.
Please understand, this is not a "fire sale". I don't have to sell this bass but if I can generate some cash, so much the better.
Reasonable cash, trade or trade + cash offers will be cheerfully considered!
PM me with any questions. Thanks for looking!

I would be particularly interested in trades involving a Sadowsky Metro/NYC, Celinder, Lull, Nordstrand, Fodera NYC , Ristola, Stambaugh or Zon 5 string. Or possibly a US G&L L-2500 + cash.........
If you have a 34" scale bass to trade let me know.......... |

Those led me to another of him playing in a live trio setting with one of my favorite guitarists and the great Joel Taylor on drums. This shows how the Xotic sits in a live mix, very very nice. http://www.youtube.com/user/schwheel.../2/GedhY2KbM8I
If this bass had narrow string spacing I'd be buying it now. Good luck with the sale! |

I'm going to give the trade a bit more thought -after hearing that clip i might consider it since no one is jumping out to buy my Roscoe.
Let me know if it doesn't sell and want to rethink it, the overall tone of the bass is very nice.... Is that the same or similar tone you get from your rig?
Thanks,
Bruce |

I'm interested in 34" scale "jazz style" 5 stringers with 18mm or 19mm string spacing at the bridge. Brand is not all that important but playability and tone is!
Also always interested in nice Fender P's or J's........
What 'cha got? |
