I just bought this beautiful Limited run Cherry Gibson Tbird from Sweetwater sound about 1 short month ago.
It sells for $1,599 plus shipping on the website.
And sells for this price anywhere you can actually find one in stock.
These where a limited edition for 2011 by Gibson.
Here is the link to the Gibson website to check out more on the bass and actual specs as well.
Gibson.com: Gibson Thunderbird IV Bass Limited
Something a bit more cool than the normal vintage burst finish they always have around.
I am letting go of it based upon a VERRRRRY heavy dose of U.S. Lakland G.A.S.!!!!

I just bought my first U.S. Lakland and badly want my 2nd one...
So I need let go of two basses and this is one of them.
I wanted to have a Tbird in the stable and someday might again. But for the moment I have a deal in the works for a U.S. Lakland Decade that is keeping me awake at night ....hahaha!!
So this is a chance to buy one of these LE Gibson Birds for a great price. I might have played this for an hour in my home since it was delivered to me new from Sweetwater. At about $350 or more off the price....plus they are now out of stock. I bought their last one.
When I bought this new from Sweetwater, they disclosed there was a minor tiny factory finish glitch near the pickup.
I bought it regardless, it is not a big thing honestly...
But I am disclosing it as well. It is a verrrry small area right bumped up next to the pup, that looks like a little glitch in the finish.
If interested in the bass to purchase, I will try to take some macro close up pics to send over....
Right now with the holidays , it is hard to set basses up for pics honestly...
With this nytro cellulose finish Gibson uses, there were some fine fine FINE little marks in various spots....maybe from when their "tech" set it up for me? I dunno?
But this finish is very prone to these light light markings...Nytro finish seems to be very soft! .I hear there is an amazing polish and cleaner called virtuoso out there for sale...I was planning on buying this to remove any of the cleaning marks these things get....
The 3 studio photos posted ARE OF THE EXACT BASS!
These 3 images are the bass for sale and came from the Sweetwater sound website.
They take their basses out of the case, and shoot them, then post the exact bass they are listing for sale.
The other pics I snapped in my home.

UPDATE: 12-29-2011
Just snapped these pics quickly in the living room earlier this afternoon.
I know they are not the best, but they show the bass in my home in addition to the studio shots of the actual bass Sweetwater had taken that I posted above in this thread. thanks for looking.
