price drop to $1095...!!!!

3oth anniv Music Man Stingray

I bought it new, and have all docs and reciepts

I just play my ric and epi tbird more, and never really got used to the music man feel

so, it has spent most of its life in the case.

there is one scratch on the PG, and MM sent me a new one .. I have both

I did have some questions on fret sprout (see this thread... warranty question on a brand new bass.... ....) and I never did anything about it because I determined, thru other people telling me as well, that it wasn't a big issue.....just saying this in the spirit of full disclosure.

so, I guess I should be saying more about the bass. There is nothing to tell.

I had it at one practice, and that was the only time it left the house...(besides when I took it to GC to hear their offer on an outright buy , which was low of course)

pm me for my number, and I can tell you everything about it....it is a very good example of a fine instrument!

I took off the ernie ball strings.... it looks like someone put a different e string on there.... the bass now has GHS boomers, lite guage on her!

more pics

these you will see the 3 ply pickguard

MM sent me a new pg and control plate because the original stuff had cosmetic issues

they only had a three ply pg...which is installed now

the buyer will get the orig 5 ply and the original control plate, and the shipping envelope both came in.

These are cell phone pics.... my camera is at work...I can get more pics on request

there are a few small marks like this on the case...very small...but pointing them out anyway

the original plastic on the case locks...its all there

check out her tail feathers!

string thru body ... active electronics...and original stickers on the back of the bass....just left them on there

there was a question.....
What is the accurate weight of the bass, by itself, no case?

my answer.....
this might not be the most accurate way , but if you know of another method to get the exact weight, let me know!

with bass in hand, me on the scale...198.6 lbs

with out the bass, me on the scale...188.8 lbs

so, I am showing 9.6 lbs.... the mahogany body adds some extra!

here is a quote from a review...

The use of mahogany as the body wood has obviously increased the weight of the instrument, by one and a half pounds, but it’s not such a huge amount that the instrument is difficult to play or may incur any shoulder or neck pain. What it does offer is a richer, more sustained sound with a throatier growl in the low-mid range.

and from the music man forum from a guy with more than 4800 posts...

10lbs +/- 0.5lb is where most of them fall

HI:
Is it still available?
I'm lookingr for this for a long time
I live in Taiwan, I never see this bass here.
If it still available, maybe I will let it come to me.

In fact, I've got one of this.
My friend wish to own one too, but he don't know this forum before.
I found this thread and tell him, he sign up right away to leave reply in this thread.
But I think sell bass to a new member is risky to anyone.
So if both side of you feel OK, I'll buy this for him.
I remember the shipping charge from USA to Taiwan is about $250~$295
I'll ask if the total cost is affordable to him and does he really want it or not.
If he is OK, I'll tell you to confirm the detail of transaction.
Thank you very much~!

I can vouch for blackleo. I know shipping international can be a bit crazy at times, but he was awesome to deal with. He bought my 30th Anniv off me (been missing it ever since)! If I can sell my bass quickly enough, I'll be all over this!
