FS: '62 RI (E-series) Fender Jazz, Oly white w/ tortoise

I kinda hate to sell this lovely bass, but my studio desperately needs new reference monitors, and this one gets played the least... so here goes.

E series MIJ '62 R.I. (first run for Fender Japan) in Olympic white, with custom red tortoise shell pick guard, and Dimarzio passive, noiseless j-pickups. Schaller strap buttons on it, but I’ll include the original Fenders, if you’d like ‘em, too. HSC included, non-original, but very sturdy and clean.

I bought this bass from the amazing Tom Broeske (emblymouse on TB), who had played it in my band for several years, before moving on to other Jazzes. He set it up perfectly, action not too high or too low, but just right!

$900 $850[ $800 shipped to ConUS, super-safely boxed in HSC. Monday-only one-day sale!

Definitely <9lbs. I'm out of town till tomorrow evening, but I can/will re-weigh and update the post with actual data.

Lighter than my 4001 and my '51 P-bass, heavier than my Jerry Jones!

Hey Luckie,

My reasonably-accurate digital bathroom scale says 9 lbs on the nose. Feels lighter to me on my 3" wide Souldier straps, but there you go.

I suppose it's worth noting that I am a motivate seller at this point, so reasonable offers will be entertained.

Thanks for the info, I'll see what I can do about scraping up the scratch.

Come on TBers, let's make this happen...

This E-series Jazz looks lovely, plays like butter, sounds like thunder.

Seriously, it's like lovely, buttered thunder.

I do believe it is alder, but I would also defer to other, more well-informed opinions.

I really don't want to put this beauty on eBay... Come on TBers, add a sweet E-series MIJ Jazz to your herd!

Rockstar bump!
It's a fine trad looking Jazz with DiMarzio muscle under the hood. I replaced the brown tort guard with a custom Pickguardian nitro red tort. Recommended
