FS: '70's Fireglo Seville Ric 4001 Copy Bass

Hello all,

For sale is a '70's Seville lawsuit-era 4001 copy bass. Fireglo, dual pickups, Ric-style controls and toggle switch, dual outputs (though only one is currently wired up), aftermarket Schaller tuners, neck inlays, bolt-on neck. Missing the trussrod cover. Body has scratches, dings, etc consistent with age and use, extra hole drilled for strap peg... Neck is in good condition other than scratches, dings, some string wear. Frets are good. Sounds freaking great! Plays well as is but could use some TLC, a decent setup, and some fresh strings. Very cool bass but sadly I barely use it and am looking to thin down my equipment.

Possible trade for a 4 string Warwick of equal value... or Trace Elliot gear. I'd love a 100-200W Trace bass head plus some cash...

I am in Monroe, NY (about 45 miles north of NYC) and would prefer a local sale. It would be nice for a potential buyer to see and test out the bass before purchasing. I may be willing to ship for actual cost + packing materials but would like to entertain local interest first. I can include a vintage Ibanez plush-lined hardshell case (beat up, but in usable condition) if a buyer is interested.

It would be pretty cool to have original Ric pickups and bridge an all installed.

I have reason to believe that it may have actual Ric pickups installed. There is some routing/chiseling around the neck pickup area and yet the pickup still barely seems to fit in there... and the overall sound is shockingly similar. I can take the pickguard off over the weekend and post some more pictures in this thread if anyone feels they can make a visual ID of the pickups.
