FS-'72 Fender Jazz Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
I am selling my '72 Fender Jazz to fund my next purchase.

I had it gone through completely when I purchased it. It appeared that one pot had been replaced and one pickup rewound.

There is no serial number on the butt of the neck, but the name stamps on the body and neck match up. Some slight wear on the neck (pics). The block at the first fret comes up in the corner just a hair but does not affect playability (I chose not to chase after fixing it for fear of damaging it). I replaced the original white pick guard with the black (looked better with the blocks) but have the original as well. I also have the thumb rest.

Price Drop - $2150 Shipped ConUS

Sweet Jebus there it is. That's exactly the same as the first electric bass I ever touched in 1982 - it's the reason I fell in love with playing bass. It's the standard against which I've measured every bass I've touched since then.

Can't come anywhere close to affording it, but I have to beg you to PLEASE make sure it goes to good home.

Not looking for a P bass. I might trade (with cash) for a nice M4v.

I have a Lull V5 with literally the same specs as what you have, but with pearl blocks instead of black. Never missed the active circuit in it. It has 70's wind Nordstrand J pickups in it. Would that interest you?
