Sign in to disble this ad
Not a reissue. This is the real deal. 1972 Fender Telecaster bass. Got this from another TB'er in a trade. Sunburst w/maple board. Stable neck with great action. Original except for recent pro re-fret w/OEM fret wire. Fret board pro finished. New set of GHS Boomers installed. Original fully functional, but beat, hard shell case. One picture here, but can send armada of detailed pictures to those with serious interest. $2500.00 OBO

WOW!! You sure don't see this, every day!

I love, love, love, love, love my '72 Tele neck. If I was a bit farther ahead, I would surely love to get the entire package.

Oh, well... GLWTS!

Damn dude. That is hot. '72 is my favorite year for any fender instrument. Good luck!

I didn't know Fender used a 3-bolt neck plate in '72... I'm pretty sure they didn't show up on jazz basses until the next year. That's interesting! Is it a micro-tilt?

I'd have to call it a "chunky" neck. Very stable. I like the feel of it. Nut width looks like 1-5/8".

Hi, Tom. I confess I'm not as detailed of a gear historian as I'd like to be, but perhaps the pictures I've posted on the link will provide the answer you are seeking. There are some close-ups of the neck and body. I do know that the neck has been very stable during it's time with me (which I find extraordinary for Fenders).

Thanks to all for your inquiries.

My first bass, albeit mine was a very aged white with black pickguard. Sentimental bump.
