I have too many basses just sitting around, so back up for sale is this B-302 I picked up on TB a year or so ago.
The Good: Massive Tone. This is really one of the best sounding basses I've ever played. Sits great in the mix, both live and recorded. All electronics work great.
The Bad: 1) The truss rod appears to be maxed out. The action is a little high - still very playable, but it is higher than I would prefer. My tech told me that with some work (and $) the neck issues can be fixed. 2) The frets are worn. Surprisingly, it still plays great and the intonation is fine. 3) A previous owner must have stored this in the basement for a long time, as the pickguard screws have all oxidized and are near to impossible to remove. The bridge has some oxidation as well - mostly under the chrome. The original case, while fine structurally is very musty-smelling. 4) As you can see from the pics, there is also some buckle wear on the back through to the wood.
With a refret and a little TLC, this would be a very nice, massive sounding, great playing bass.
In pristine condition, these seem to go for around $700-800. I will let this go for $400 shipped to the CONUS, Paypal only. Not all that interested in trades, but I'm willing to listen...
