I have an 'E' series MIJ Precision in CAR/white pg with maple neck and cap. Neck is straight and truss rod works great. Frets are good and overall condition is good. Only had it a few months, but got hit with a layoff.
Excellent build quality!!
I will post pics tonight. SOLD!! shipped CONUS w/hardshell case

Really good condition for it's age. The hardware is a little tarnished and if you look closely at the bass of the bridge the chrome is loosening. The knobs are missing about 1/3 of the chrome. Don't let that discourage you, this is a beauty of a bass and I really wish I could keep her, even though I'm a Spector guy. Kind of one of those 'everyone needs a good Precision in their arsenal' kind of thing

I can get more pics if anyone wants them. I tried to use natural light, but it left the pics a little fuzzy....

This was when Fender officially gave the go ahead and Fender Japan was started. I think they wanted to prove their skills and it shows. |

The MIJ Squiers sell for a few hundred each ($500 or so last time I was interested, I've seen good examples go as high as $850) because the quality was so good. When Fender Japan became official they outdid themselves and I don't know why E series Fender Japan basses aren't more popular.
The golden years of Fender Japan are in my experience the E and the O series, though the other stuff isn't bad by any means. I know I personally prefer Fender Japan Jazzes to their American counterparts for the most part as the build quality is excellent all across the board and I like the way the MIJ/CIJ neck profile feels.
I'd buy this if I could spare the change, but I've got a bank bill to pay and I need to fix my truck. And I just bought a bass.
Interested in trades for anything?
