After much rumination and playing of my new Zon Sonus over the past two weeks, I've decided that it's time to let these two go. They deserve to be played and loved, and that just isn't going to happen with the Zon in the house.
What you're looking at:
90's USA made Tobias Growler with Tobias gig bag: $800 shipped with insurance. SOLD!!!
90's German made Warwick Fortress One with Warwick OHSC: $850 shipped with insurance. SOLD!!!
Both of these instruments are in excellent condition and look and sound great, but they are both players, so don't expect factory fresh finish on them (although I do take very
good care of my instruments).
Tobias I got off a fellow TBer about a year and a half ago, and it has been my primary bass since.
Warwick came off of the 'Bay around the same time. This bass has probably one of the most gorgeous Wenge fingerboards I've ever seen.
USA sales only. Paypal OK.
I don't need to sell either of these, and from an emotional perspective, I really don't want to (I'm sure I will probably regret it later) - but on the other hand I also feel that these two are just too great to have them sitting around here and not being played. They have both brought me great joy. Somebody else should have the opportunity to experience that. Again, blame rests squarely on the Zon... Beautiful, evil bastard...
The only trade fodder I might be interested in right now would be the Aguilar 751 (or a pre/amp combo of significant wattage) or the Mesa Prodigy/Strategy.
Here are the pics of the Growler:
