FS :: '91 Ibanez Soundgear SR885 ($300 Shipped Conus)

If you've ever played one of these, you know that they've got a seriously fast playing neck. The spacing's narrow at the nut and the bridge (~16.5mm) and the neck profile is very slender. These are Made in Japan, and feel like pro level basses.

The action on this one is set very low, and there are new Warwick (red) strings that have about an hour of playing on them. The pickups were upgraded to EMGs before I picked it up, and they're wired to be 18V. The dunlop straplocks will be included along with the strap side piece. The bass has tons of mojo, and saw lots of action through the DC club scene with it's previous owner. The stickers on the back can be removed (by me) if you like, but I thought that they just added to the vibe.

The bass will be shipped in a beat-up gig bag that it came with, but will be well protected.

Feel free to make me any offer that you can think of. I'm also willing to cut you a deal on the second SR885 that I will soon be listing (it's a great player, but in poor cosmetic condition).

Bump for one of my favorite basses of all time. I have the 886 and she is beat to hell from YEARS of rehearsals / gigs / studio sessions. I'm about to put some brand spanking new pickups in after all of these years. Good luck on the sale there Groove Monkey
