This bass deserves its own post! Since my blonde sold I need to sell this bass so I can fund my next bass!!
It's an all original 91' streamer stage 1. Same era as the the stage 1 Stuart Zender used in all those famous jamiroquoi albums!!
Feats full maple body with wenge fretboard and stringers in the neck. MEC p/j pickups with 2 band MEC preamp. The original Just-a-Nut brass. Schaller/warwick hardware with factory schaller straplocks instead of the recessed dunlop locks.
The bass is not a collector per say. Yes its one of those nice vintage handmade warwicks but it has player wear that shows! Yes you can sand down finish a bit and reoil it and wax it to make it look but I like the 'roadworned' look. Its real!
Theres slight discoloration in the rear where the bass rubbed on countless amount of shirts and jeans. There is major player wear above the P pickup. And besides those two slight nicks and dings on the bass that you can barely see or can be buffed out.
I just cleaned and reoiled the fretboard. The frets look nice and shiny again and got plenty of life.
Truss rod works like a champ. The neck is straight with it loose. Have the truss rod tightened just enough so it wont spin around. Not only that, this bass has a removable 1 way truss rod. Its the original steel rod but I believe Warwick offers a titanium? truss rod now that you can slip in if you like. I guess if you want to lighten up the neck a bit.
The bass itself weighs 8lbs and mere ounzes. I dont have an accurate digital scale but its light!
Bass will be shipped in a warwick rockbag.
48 lower states will receive free shipping. Anywhere else it will be asking price plus actual shipping.
This is my main bass at the moment and I am in no hurry to get rid of it. I know I offered it for a lower price before but that was only due to financial needs.
I will be firm on my price now as I am not in a hurry to get rid of it. I need the extra coin for my next bass.
So unless you have a wenge neck streamer stage 2 for trade dont bother =)
Asking price: $1500.00 shipped!!
I'll try to get more recent photos. These pictures are before I cleaned the entire bass and reoiled it. The bass is now super clean and a shade or two darker.
