FS '93 Fender Fretless Jazz MIJ Lace Sensor! $300 or Best Offer!

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for sale is a 1993 Fender Fretless Jazz Bass made in Japan. All reasonable offers considered!

Black
Unlined Rosewood Neck
Original Lace Sensor Pickup in Bridge Position
Fender Gigbag
S/N P016161

This is a nice bass with a thin, fast neck. You can dial in the Jaco growl with the Lace Sensor pickup. There is a ding on the back of the body, and one on the back of neck at the third fret marker. Otherwise in great shape (see pix).

I am selling to raise cash for another purchase. While this is a great, easy playing bass, I never get a chance to play it. It would be better in a loving home where it will receive the attention it deserves!

Price: $300 or Best Offer +shipping

Penny in picture used to show size of ding on back of body.

Ding on back of neck at thrid fret marker. Pick used for size reference.

Interested, but I think you'll find according to the forum rules you have to post a price.

This is a killer deal - I've had 2 mid 90's MIJ Fenders both very nice.

If I didn't already have 3 fretless basses I'd be all over this.

I would guess the zero feedback*, although if the seller provided good refs(& I had 3 bills to burn )I'd give it a shot. Bumpers, anyway.

*NOT implying the OP's not on the up-and-up, just that he is(so far)an unknown.

You have to start somewhere, right?

I have purchased a bass from a TB'er who I asked to provide feedback.

Is this bad boy still around? I'm in PA about 90 miles southwest of NYC and could use a good fretless.

Yes, the bass is still available.

Several TB'ers have expressed interest.

I have edited the original post to include the S/N. There has been much interest in the bass, specifically the neck. When I went to get the serial number, I remembered the ding on the neck. It never bothered me. I thought of taking some steel wool and smoothing it out and applying spray poly but it was never an issue for me.

In an effort of full disclosure, I took a new photo of the ding and posted it. See below:
