I've made a new bass purchase and need to thin the herd.
Squier does not make them like this anymore! This is a great five string bass with true Precision string spacing (not compressed to accommodate five strings) - 2" nut. The neck is wide but not thick, and is easy to navigate. The spacing is great for slapping. The bass is 100% original and features a pearloid pick guard, gold hardware, mass bridge, V/V/T controls, soap bar pickups (I've read that they are Mighty Might), and a solid ash (NOT VENEER) body with trans red finish. The body shape is a true precision shape. These were only made a few years - I've read that the quality was better than intended and the cheaper price tag was interfering with sale of MIA, MIJ and MIM basses.
The tone is very deep, however you can still pull a lot of bright sound out of it with the tone knob. The bass is solid and I've never had to make adjustments to it. It comes with a brand new Squier hard-shell case that has a molded interior.
The only disclosure on this bass is that the tone knob has very minor static (only) when turned. There are no dings or damage to make note of.
$350 shipped anywhere in the continental USA. Sorry, no international shipping. It would be difficult to find another one of these in this condition!
