Up for grabs is one of the prized and often very quite sought after Special Edition Status/Trace Elliot T-basses (I can't believe that I'm actually parting with both of my Statii basses at the same time as I have found them to be unmatched in overall build/quality and sound
FS feeler: Status Empathy 4) but room needs to be made. There was a total run of 100 Special Edition basses which were handmade for Trace Elliot by Status in 1998 to celebrate Trace's 15th anniversary. The bass has a 34" maple bolt-on neck with graphite reinforcements, a 2-way truss rod, 24 frets + 0 fret on a rosewood fingerboard, with the maple part of the neck having a satin finish. The electronics are typical jazz bass, two J-bass "Hyperactive" pickups + dummy pickup under the pickguard as hum-cancellor and active 9v (quick-change battery compartment) pre-amp similar to the Retro models of Status with volume control for each, treble cut/boost, bass cut/boost, flat EQ switch. The bridge conists of 4 individual bridges adjustable in all directions. The bass ships in it's original Hiscox Liteflight case along with all original documentation including its C.O.A.

Full Disclosure on any Bumps and or Bruises...***
When the bass was shipped to me via it's prior owner, F*DEX managed somehow to do something really unique via their shipping process (I always ship UPS) resulting in a paint chip to incur as well as a couple of small dinks on the very top of the headstock in a bass shipped in a Hiscox Liteflight (which is pretty remarkable in and of itself).
-The Bass also has two very fine lacquer scratches on the back...
-And lastly, there is a bit of wear mark/checking in the polyester finish on the very top of the fretboard-neck junction on the E-string side at the 5th fret marker.
-With all disclosures being made, (I never sell nor prefer to buy anything W/O), this bass is actually one in a million! (or more precisely it's one out of a hundred).
-The bass is for sale for $1500 boxed/shipped and fully insured.
(Price now dropped down to $1375). Again, Paypal echeck is preferred but standard is fine and as always, I insist on personally packing all basses I sell/ship like a champ.
