FS. ACG fretless Piezo Skelf 5 string. SOLD.

For sale is an exquisite bass from Scotlish luthier Alan Cringean. The bass is a 34 scale lined fretless.

Electronics include a hipshot piezo with an East AC dual filter preamp (in the manner of Wal).

Lacewood top, chambered mahogany body, laminated set maple neck.

Gorgeous details all over include truss rod cover held in place with a magnet. Never gigged. No wear or marks.

Beautiful balance. Dead silent. Huge range of sound. Hiscox hard shell case.

I'm trying to downsize the collection.

NOW $1350!!! PayPal shipped US. Sorry no int'l sales.

I have one of these babies in a slightly different wood combo. Fantastic instruments. Pre-amp offers an extraordinary range of voicings. And Alan is a very skilled builder.

Best of luck.

another view.

Note the wood color is more like the top photo (daylight).

the chambered body is a little bit thicker than the typical solid bass

I believe its Ebony (but will check order)--its hard and very tight grained.

We'll do the scale thing.

Let me try and record a few samples. The East AC dual filters give it an incredible (and almost maddening) range of tone. You can go from hard treble with a deep bottom to a woody mid with a smooooth finish. and on and on and on.

Shift the filter range and add/cut.

Now times by 2.

Really wish I could pick this one up, given how much I'm playing fretless these days!

sound clip

recorded to garage band. four different eq settings on the bass only. The ACG dual filter eq is wonderful and a bit insane at the same time.

i didnt scratch the surface of eq range.

btw the bass is strung with Labella tapes. Trying to get a set of jazz flats on it.

The bass is 34 inch scale. 18mm spacing

Fingerboard is ebony with maple fret lines. Carbon fiber reinforced.
