FS: ALEMBIC TRIPLE OMEGA BASS w/Signature Electronics

Sign in to disble this ad
Beautiful and extremely rare Alembic Triple Omega bass with Alembic signature electronics. This is the Jone Paul Jones model based on that bass he played during the Knebworth show and "Presence" LP. Sound is thunderous and full. Signature electronics are extremely versatile. This is by far my nicest bass that I own, but I need to sell it and use the funds elsewhere.

1993 Custom 4 string long scale bass (34")
- Triple Omega Body shape JPJ style (soft points)
- "Mutant" maple top (meaning it's got a bit of everything)
- Mahogany body
- Ebony fretboard
- Anniversary electronics: vol, vol, tone, tone, q switches (2); 4-position pick-up selector; stereo/mono switch
- Walnut/maple/walnut pinstripes
- Maple/purple heart neck
- Brass hardware
- Alembic Gold Tuners
- Pearloid oval inlays
- Gold plated logo
- Medium weight, huge tone!
- Hard shell case included
- Matching Gotoh Drop-D tuner installed but not pictured (original tuner will also be provided)
- Very good/Excellent condition. No major dings. Second straplock added.

More pictures available here: http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/msg/1658922420.html I'll also be taking many more pictures this weekend.

Going to take better pictures and put on ebay this weekend, but would like to avoid the hassle. Now ON HOLD FOR GENSTORMBRINGER!!!!! This bass would sell new for well over $10K.

Thanks,

Ken

If I could raise $3900 it would be mine. Anyone need any body parts, organs? Bargain? A steal at this price!

The bass speaks for itself. I've known Ken through the forums for many years and I've never heard a word said against the guy. This is a rare opportunity to get a rare bass that will turn heads as much for its' looks as for its' sound.

OMG ! Genstormbringer and I were just talking about these basses ! WOW ! Why does $3,900 just not seem like a lot of money at this moment ? .... OK, back to reality. I'm broke...

Yep, it's an amazing bass that I wish I could keep. This is my favorite Alembic bass shape, and the bass is just too cool.

OK I am going to be a male hooker (only Kidding nowadays u just never know law enforcement might think u r serious). I am not sure if I can make $3900 though. LMAO.
I was talking to Michael about John Paul Jones and his triple omega, this is true and how I would like to have one. I would probably have to trade you all my gear (2 USA Cirruses 2 Furys my Kawai FII B, and XTi200 Crown etc...) and I can't bring myself to do that. I am in love w my Peaveys believe it or not they are gr8 basses. Yours is as well but I just don't have that disposable cash right now. Hmmmm and unless you go for a payment plan I can only watch some other Muppet get the Triple Omega. It is the EXCALIBUR of BASSES sch-wing I am not worthy.

Never measured it before, but will post tonight! I love PVs too. My first bass was a T-40 in 1982. I chose it over a beat Antigua Jazz bass. D'oh!

Lanis - Your wife will get over it. Dude, you'd have a Triple Omega !

He loves Peavey's, too ! That's awesome.

You can dip into your kid's college fund. College is overrated and overpriced, anyway.
