How common and desirable tone wise, is a painted ash neck on an AC ?
Ash is not a neck wood a lot of Fender style luthiers use is it ? How would you describe the tone please.
I tried to PM twice but technical problems hampered that.
Great looking bass for sure.

The photos are deceptive (think it has to do with the time of day the photos were taken and shadowing), the headstock stain is perfectly matching.
Although painted ash is not a 'common' wood used for the neck, I think Jimmy only used it a few times; maybe only for the two BK Signatures in existence?, it works amazingly well with this bass. The tone is clear and punchy, every note seems resonate and articulate. For me, and the reason I'm selling, is I realize I'm just not a painted and glossed neck guy - that's all. The bass kills in every way.
PM's seem to be working on my end...feel free to try again.
