FS: Alleva-Coppolo, MusicMan, G&L, Sadowsky basses

Skinny necked basses to sell off this time. All prices include shipping in the 48 states only. I'll ship elsewhere but you pay the extra.

The ONLY trades I'm interested in are:
-Sadowsky NYC 4 string with Sadowsky soapbar pickups, rosewood board, 8.5 lbs or less
-MusicMan Stingray HH 4 string, rw board, non-matching headstock, chunky neck
-Sadowsky NYC Vintage P4, non-maple board, P width neck, 8.5 lbs or less, solid color preferred

First is an Alleva-Coppolo KPB-4, this is a very early one that I got last year. The alder body has a great vintage burst nitrocellulose finish, the neck is 1.5" wide at the nut with a gorgeous indian rosewood fingerboard, weight is just right at 8.8 lbs. Condition is excellent but it's been played. There are a few small dings and tiny chips on the body and back of the neck but nothing major. Comes in the original Alleva-Coppolo gigbag. Here's the thread I bought it from with more details: FS/FT: Alleva Coppolo KBP-4 "Vintage Precision"

Price is $2300 SOLD

Next is a Big Al 4 string in discontinued Olive Gold. The color is great, the sparkles are all different colors. Condition is very clean. Lots of tonal options, including series, parallel, all pickup switching options, and even active/passive. Weight is on the low side for these at 9.2 lbs, comes in the original molded case.

Price is $1300 SOLD

This is a really nice one - an SLO Special Stingray in Sterling Silver. This is metallic silver just like Inca Silver and a really beautiful finish. The SLO Special means that the neck is Jazz-width at 1.5" wide instead of the normal Stingray width. Super comfortable and easy to play. This is new condition with the plastic still on the guard. Weight is 9.9 lbs and it comes in a molded MM hardcase.

Price is $1200 TRADED

Next is a new made in USA G&L I just picked up. G&L has reissued the SB-1 and I snagged a couple of them with Jazz-width 1.5" wide #8 necks. This is Fullerton Red which is close to Fiesta Red, it's close to the pic but just a hint more orange - very nice. Condition is new with no wear and the pickguard still has the plastic - that's why it looks a bit hazy on the right side in the pic. Weight is nice and light at 8.6 lbs. Comes in the G&L molded hardcase.

Price is $800 SOLD

Last is a super nice Sadowsky Metro PJ. This was my introduction to a Sadowsky P and it led to me buying an NYC P. This bass is in very clean condition with a little tarnish on the hardware and slight corrosion on some pickup polepieces but otherwise it's clean. No fretwear or finish damage I could find. Pickups are standard Sadowsky humcancelling P and J, controls are standard VTC - vol/blend/passive tone with active/passive switch/stacked bass&treble control. This is on the lighter side for a Metro at 9.2 lbs. Comes in the Sadowsky Ultralight case.

Price is $1600 SOLD

The 'burst on that AC is just amazing. It looks exactly like my '66 P. What a great selection of basses!

Dang, that Sterling is sweet! A month ago I'd have bought it but I'm in wide neck mode. I know you and your MM's, Brad, got a Dargie SR you wanna part with?

Best of luck moving these!

Me too Brent, that's why these are moving along. I have wide necked Lull P4 and Sadowsky basses on the way and have to get the cash together!

The silver Ray is my only SR, I'm on the prowl for a wider necked one. Never should have sold that rosewood necked SR, dangit.

Do the HH Sterlings tend to be heavier in general?

I've seen more light single H Sterlings than HH, but the single H has been out a lot longer. The single H has 3 coils, the HH 4 coils so it's probably not a lot heavier.

I'm just always on the lookout for light basses and love Sterling HHs. I've only come across two that were this light. The Perfect Bass has 4 HHs right now, they are 8.8, 9.0, 9.5, and 9.7 lbs.

Oh yeah I know, I check that site all the time. In a way you'd think they'd be lighter because of less wood. I saw this bass posted over at the EB Forums and have been drooling ever since.

Brad, tell me the Sadowsky P/J has too narrow a neck for my preference. Convince me to turn away.

That thing's a beaut. Yer killin' me!

Bump for a great guy who knows is instruments.

It's Jazz width but feels great. You're safe, it's not as big as either your P or SR.

Dang - wish that 4HH was a bit lighter! Is that a rosewood or ebony fingerboard? The reason I ask is that I saw an absolutely beautiful 4HH today at the Raleigh GC in gunmetal with a black pearloid pickguard and ebony fingerboard (which is why I'm scanning the TB FS ads, if you catch my drift...)

Sorry, it's plain old rosewood. Nice looking grain, but just rosewood.

I wish it was lighter too.

Good point, I was sloppy on the description. I updated the specifics in the first post above, thanks.
