2010 Winter NAMM bass, transitional model
- European Alder body (Made in NYC)
- 1-piece Maple neck with black Blocks & Binding (Made in CA)
- Candy Apple Orange Juice Poly finish
- Custom flat neck profile (starts a touch thick on each side then flattens out in the back - super comfy and my fav A-C neck so far, I like it so much that my incoming LM5 will have it as well)
- Alleva-Coppolo homemade pickups in 70's position.
- Alleva-Coppolo preamp
- BadAss 5 bridge (stock Hipshot can be put back on but there may be a mark on the finish by now due to the size difference)
- 19mm string spacing at bridge
- 8.4 lbs. by bathroom scale (weighed myself with and without the bass)... Let's say 9 lbs. to safe.

Overall condition is near mint... 2 small scratches in the back in the "belly cut" and light swirls on the pickguard "slap spot."

Thanks in advance....

Hello. Is your incoming bass Alder as well. I have never owned an alder bass, although this one has my interest. What are the tonal differences between alder and ash?

Thanks.

No, my incoming LM5 is Ash/Rosewood. I think Ash has a little more lows where Alder has more midrange. The highs are sweeter and not as aggressive with Alder also... IMO.

Videos...

Here are a couple NAMM vids featuring super talent and future bass hero Brandon Rose. They are not the greatest sounding but they give you an idea of what the bass can sound like. The only difference is at that time it still had the original Hipshot bridge, but to me the BAV adds more low end.

Nice, it's a good choice to let it go before you put more wear on it while waiting for your LM5, but I guess I won't get to A/B/C my LG with this and your coming LM

Never thought I would see the day you were selling this bass. You were so pumped at NAMM about getting it. Can't afford this right now but wish I would have picked up your Lull.

I would definitely say this is a perfect all around bass. I have an RA5 as well, and I could use it for every gig.

Free Bump and a great buy!

Hey David, I really love this bass and was having second thoughts last night but I have another A-C coming so I'll be cool.

All you have to do is erase your older PM's (both sent and received) and that will free up your limit.

The headstocks on the ACs remind me of the 1st generation G&L basses.
