FS Amber SPECTOR 6 EURO XL w/ new case and setup

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm going to take a loss on this one because I need to move it kinda quick to free up funds. Here's the FS thread where I bought it from DR. Time for a change - FS/FT a bunch of em'

This bass is TRULY newer than the ones hanging at any store. I haven't found a mark on it. I've recently had the nut slots filed down a bit by a pro, they were quite a bit higher than they should've been. Now they're perfect! He also did a setup w/ a new set of DR Lo-rider stainless strings which have about 2 hrs of playing on them (with clean hands ), so they're still new. The bass also has Dunlop strap locks installed. DR bought the case new for me prior to shipping. It's one of those rectangular-shaped zip up ultralight jobbies, which I love----does the job w/out weighing 30lbs!

I've never gigged the bass or case, and IIRC neither did DR. It's a shame, cause this bass is incredible and is the only bass besides my US Laklands to get the "thumbs up" from my bands.

Here's what DR told me about the pups and pre in a PM...
It appears that preamp wise - this bass has the spector tone pump and emg 40dc for pickups - here's what the owners manual has on each

EMG-40DC® These
are part of the EMG Extended Series.
The DC® dual coil features side-by-side
coils that widen the magnetic aperture
delivering a deep, full low end with
slightly accentuated midrange

The Spector TonePump® Active Bass
and Treble control is provided by means
of 2 continuously variable controls.
There are no center detents on these
controls. In that way, you are in control
rather than having “normal tone”
dictated to you. Slightly rolling in a
touch on both the Treble and the Bass
control will provide a flat frequency
response. Continuing clockwise, the
Spector TonePump® will provide 18 dB
boost in both the Bass and Treble
range. We have “A/B’d” the TonePump®
against all of the major bass “pre’s” in
the market and have found that it offers
greater headroom, gain, and control
that anything out there. The Spector
TonePump® is a 9 vDC circuit and is our
most aggressive preamp to date.

$1499 shipped US Postal money orders only (I don't feel like giving Paypal $50)

I can be trusted, you can also check my eBay feedback: brandy_1234

Thanks,
Jody

PICS WOULD BE NICE HUH??

DUH!!!
Sorry about the finger prints.... looked clean inside, sun shows EVERYTHING!

The fretboard is supposed to be rosewood, but the grain is so striking it's reminiscent of macassar ebony.

This bass is so new, I'll offer a money back guarantee on it. Inspect/play it for a day. If you find something mechanically wrong with it's electronics or damage to the bass, ship it back to me, and get your money back!!

I just reinspected the bass... that is NOT a scratch on the body edge above the neck pup. It's probably a reflection=artifact. The gold tuners need my prints cleaned off of 'em and may show some minor aging, but (like I said) still look better than many "new" basses at GC.

Won't you have to change your name to Six-String Dan?

She is sweet!

I was just at the Knoxville GC messing around. I played all their 6ers... nothing compares to this bass!

Thanks, I'm starting to have doubts about selling her... there's so many things that you can do w/ a 6er that you just can't do on a 5.
