Edits... this started as a feeler, and I got felt, so now it's the real deal. This baby is up for grabs.
American Vintage '62 P Bass. It's the Olympic white model. It comes with a brown HSC, all the case candy.
This bass is of the absolute highest build quality. Fit and finish are excellent. The American Vintage series is probably the best you can get from Fender without going to the Custom Shop.
I had the chance to A/B this bass with another AV '62 P, and selected this one for the tone. It is strong in the fundamentals, but has a nice bright quality that the other one lacked. Roll back the tone and you are in old school heaven. This bass is truly a musical instrument that responds to touch.
The bass was originally set up by Chuck at Bass Emporium with a set of DR Flats. Chuck had the action very low. I had the action adjusted to more of a medium by Elijah Ford at Austin Vintage Guitar (since the bass emporium closed

).
I installed Dunlop strap-locks on the bass, and will include all the part for the strap locks, as well as the original strap buttons. I'll include the strap with the locks on it if you want.
The bass is in excellent condition other than a few black marks from the rubber shielding on my cable where I pass the cable through the strap. The case and case candy are untouched.
Fender says MSRP on this is over $2000
Here is the bass for sale at guitar center for $1450.
