I just got this bass back from Mike Lull on Saturday. He did a thourough fretjob; glueing down all the loose frets, filling the gaps in the fretslots, a level & crown, and a full setup. He says the fretboard really ate up a lot of glue, but everything came out especially well. It plays like butter now! No issues there anymore
As far as other 'issues'; There is a grounding problem, which Mike said has to do with the anodizing on the bridge pieces, and all you have to do is scrape a little of that off by where in the ball end of the strings make contact. Or, if you decide to restring it going through the body (which is how it originally came), then all the grounding is fine. The pots themselves are a little loose, so if you keep turning past where it stops the pot will rotate inside the bass a little. The woodworking a little rough in spots, but nothing you would notice from more than 5 feet away or feel while you were playing.
These are minor issues (imo), and the only other issue you might have a problem with is that it is neck-heavy. With a little forearm pressure, it didn't bother me much though.
Of course, it looks fabulous too! Here are some pictures:
(The inlays look nicer in person: They're a little washed out in this pic)
^^^ You can see the action in this pic. I play with a very light touch, and like my action/tension really low. Most people who play my basses end up buzzing like crazy. You can raise the action to suit your preferences. The neck has dual truss rods that work perfectly fine. Neck is nice and straight, no problems.

I paid $450 for it originally (not including the $130 shipping from Taiwan). The work from Mike Lull was $280 (+tax).
So I'm now asking $600 including shipping. With the gigbag that it came with, and I'll include the reciept from Mike Lull for the work he did.
Not looking for any trades right now.

Just doesn't play as well as this one does now (with the fretwork). I'll probably end up selling it to. One of those impulse buys that I kinda regret now. I don't think 7-strings are for me, and even if they were, I would want a wider string spacing.
olaff421: It sounds great to my ears! Though some people have said that's just my fingers
Here are the soundclips I've recorded so far:
(Erykah Badu's "Boogie Nights") http://www.artistcollaboration.com/u...-%20Boogie.mp3
(Solo) http://www.artistcollaboration.com/u...-%20Doodle.mp3
(in the mix of an original jazz song "Because I Love You") http://www.artistcollaboration.com/u...%20You%207.mp3
Those were all recorded before the fretwork though. So now it plays super smooth, with real low action and no buzzes.
