I'm selling my Aria Pro II Avante fretless unlined 6 string bass. I haven't had it very long, but I've decided to sink some money into my Laurus Quasar and get it to where I'd like it to be. I believe I'm the second owner of the Aria, as I recall the gentleman I bought it from said he bought it originally back in 2000. Some stats: Alder Ash body - Maple neck
Ebody Rosewood board - Active electronics (rear battery compartment, always nice to have!)
- @ 13.5 lbs
- SN: S4111468
The only thing wrong with it is the E string tuner head has a broken bushing (the little plastic piece between the tuning leaf and the rest of the post, on the back side of the headstock). Very minor, and doesn't seem to affect tuning stability.
- I replaced all the tuner bushings with new ones.
I recently had the bass setup as well; action, intonation, and neck relief. Great bass, but just not for me. $500 plus shipping; I'm in 06801 - Larger here - Larger here - Larger here - Larger here - Larger here

This body is hard ash and the effect is a phenomenal amount of bass response. I know because I own one of these as well. You guys can listen to the clip in my sig, but mine has the ebony board and the so-called Bailey/Duncan Fundamental Fretless system pups and pre (I would rather have had the singles!).
Mine is 12+ lbs and balances very well. To me, balance is definitely more important than weight. Neck dive...drives me nuts.
This is a very well put together professional instrument. I think they have perfect specs: 18mm at the bridge and a Jazz nut.
Great price on this, too.
Cheers.

I got my beautiful premium grade ebony board from LMI yesterday, so I'm ready to move forward with my Laurus project...but selling the Aria finances the rest...so someone buy it please!!! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
