Ibanez ATK 300 Natural
I love the sound of this bass.
(Like it better than my old SR.)
GAS is getting the best of me... so I need to replenish the kittie.
The bass has a Nordstrand 4.3 Humbucker installed (stock preamp). With the alnico Nordy, this ATK sounds very close to a SR. It's got that warm but angry/aggressive/growly character. It has a lot more punch/warmth than the original ceramic pickup. IMO, It's a major improvement.
I'll include the original ceramic pickup with the sale... in the event you want to return it to stock. No routes or other changes were made.
The bass would be in absolute perfect condition... but it developed a hairline split in the fingerboard (pics below) about a year ago.
Doesn't affect tone/playability or stability.
I've had J Thomas Davis (one of the best local luthiers) check it out. They said it was just a cosmetic thing... wouldn't affect stability of the neck... and wasn't worth the cost of fixing. I've taken several pics that clearly show the split.
Otherwise, the bass is in nearly new condition.
