A recent case of serious GAS leaves me with too many basses
Therefore, I've resolved to lighten the load by two, and no more. Here's the first.
The Bass Company JT400-JJ -- $330 shipped in the continental US. Not interested in trades.

I bought this instrument new from TBC in December of 2005. It was my first new bass in 30 years, and it's what led me to really get into playing again.
While TBC's quality reputation might be spotty, this is a fine example of their best work. It's light, and well balanced, with a sweeeet and slender satin finished neck. Five-bolts, and a
rosewood pau ferro board.
The Body is chambered swamp-ash with a natural finish. The pickguard and control cavity covers are black-stained wood. The tuners are nothing to write home about, but they're perfectly stable. The bridge is custom TBC, and string-through or rear load. Nine-volt active three-band EQ, master volume and pickup blend knobs. Nifty center detents on the tone and blend pots. The bass runs dead silent.

There is a small ding on the edge of the body below the knobs. The pickguard is lightly scratched near the E-string side of the neck pup where my thumb rests and where my fingernails land when I dig in, which is pretty much always
No other issues at all.
