FS Benavente DCD 5 - NAMM Bass 2010

Sign in to disble this ad
Benavente 5 String Fretted Bass

DCD 24 frets / 34" Scale Set Neck, Flame Walnut Top, Mahogany Body, Flame Maple Fingerboard, D Style Neck Maple/Walnut, Slim Pickups

This is a great looking and playing bass. I just have too many basses and this one is not getting played as much as it should. It is in mint condition. There are no marks or dings on it.

The fingerboard is an incredible flamed maple...the best I have ever see.

$2800.00 shipped to Con. US

Thanks for looking!

Scott

Too many? Awww, c'mon, you can never have too many Benaventes! I had 7 at one point....

Bump for an incredible bass! I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I had some $$$$ and a job. GLWS.

This is one of those basses that makes me wish I played 5 string!!!! Do you know if the nut would allow for an E-C stringing?

Do you have any higher res pics, or closeups?

This is really a great bass IMHO... here's some other pics of it. The "B" neck is also known as the "Pyramid" neck. It was a new design for Brian and Chris, in an effort to create a slimmer neck that was also highly stable and stiff. I think they did it. I REALLY enjoyed my time with this bass.

It has a two band preamp with passive tone control, and I believe it's vol-vol currently. I think the pickups are also split coil, so they're the great narrow aperture but still hum canceling design. That's also wood binding on the neck, which is both maple and mahogany combined on the back (and the stellar flamed board as posted). The pickups also have wood covers.
