FS: BILL NASH PJ-63 with Lollar pups and Case

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all

I'm moving soon and could use a few extra dollars, so up for sale is my Nash PJ. As with all Bill Nash basses, this thing is amazing, and of course the best relicing you can find. Neck feels great, fretwork is excellent, etc. Those Lollar pickups are surprisingly vintage. You can seach for comments on other Nash basses with Lollars, consistantly amazing. And the tone...

I haven't been using it as much as I thought I would so I guess this is the one to go.

Just so you know it needs a setup. (see below) Otherwise perfect.

New Price: $1125 shipped (Just setup by Evan Gluck of New York Guitar Repair! New nut, pickup readjustment, new DR Black Beauties. Spent $100, price still $1200). These sell new for about $1800. Thanks

Info:
2008 Bill Nash PJ-63
Ash Body
9 lb 4 oz
Lollar Pickups
Jazz Width 1.5" at the nut
Currently strung with DR Black Beauties
Nash Rigid Foam Lightweight Case (similar to Gator GL-Bass)

Hey,

Is the body alder or ash on this one? Great looking bass.

Thanks.

Any idea if those are frets are the same size as the vintage Fenders?

As far as I know, since I've never played a vintage fender, these are not the same size frets as the "vintage style". They are wider but about the same height (maybe 6105) which for me is perfect. The frets feel as good as or better than those on my lakland JO. Thanks

Just setup!

I originally advertised that this needed a setup, but I just got it back from Evan Gluck at New York Guitar Repair, did an amazing job. Full setup, NEW nut, pickup readjustment, NEW DR Black Beauties...

This thing is now even more devastating. It cost $100 all together for setup/repairs/strings, price is STILL $1200 shipped.

Come on people, search the forums for Nash basses. Over and over people say they compare to or are BETTER THAN the real thing (vintage 60's instruments)! I'm just looking for something different and could use a few extra dollars...

I've got a pretty short trade list: Lakland Osborn, Modulus vj, maybe status necked jazz... Only 4-strings

Open to offers.

Just a bump from a fellow Nash owner. Lollars really set these basses apart, aside from Bill's magic touch.

I owned this bass fort a short time. This bass is very nice, and for this price! Someone is going to get a sweet Nash.

Bump for a new pic. Also, I didn't mention that when I took this in for the setup, everyone was convinced it was a vintage fender after it was plugged in and played.
