FS: Birdsong Piccolo bass

Sign in to disble this ad
This is a great piccolo bass. Never used on a gig. Barely touched. Not even broken in. I switched to playing vibes.

It is a number 2 Skyrider as you can see on the markings on the head.

It comes with case and certificate of authenticity.

Here is a link to how it was built:
http://toddcanedy.com/MyBirdsong/tabid/68/Default.aspx

More pictures on request.
Make a reasonable offer.
Asking $1800

-Todd

Sweet looking bass Todd. I own Skyrider #1. If I wasn't already having Sadhana built, I'd be sorely tempted by this beauty!

Sorry to hear you need to sell!

According Forum rules you need to post a price or the moderators will shut down the thread.

Peace,

Mark

I'm pretty sure it can. Although you may need a different nut.

Would consider trading for a good small frame road bike.

I'm not getting any hits on a reduced price so I'm going back up to $1,800 and waiting until someone really wants it. I just don't feel like giving it away. Its a great sounding bass looking for a good home.

I like the woods used in your bass! On a different topic, do you you play your KAT often? I used a MalletKat, and a TrapKat in my band program.

The price is reduced to $1500.
Includes case and paper of origin from Birdsong.
Ship to CONUS only.

Make me an offer. I'm buying a new MalletKat and need the cash.

Can it be converted as a 4 string standard tuning? It's still a short scale right?

1. Yes it can be converted but you may need a new nut depending on the size strings you use.

2. Yes it is a short scale bass

Frankly I'm not sure how heavy it is but will find out for you.
I don't have a scale but I can do some comparisons to my other basses.

Would that help?

To help Todd out with the weight. My Skyrider (#1) weighs 8 lbs.

Birdsong

I bought a brand new Birdsong Sadhana Piccolo in July. The sound is full-bodied and even across the bass. The instrument is very well made and Scott Beckwith is a great guy to work with.
