FS: "Blueburst" Spector Euro 4 String - NEAR MINT!

Early 2000s (I believe) Spector Euro 4 string in what I've heard referred to as "blueburst" or "black and blue". Bass is in excellent, near mint shape with only a very slight, small, white discoloration on the back of the bass which is difficult to photograph and some minor pitting on the bridge. This bass has the Tonepump circuit without the trim pot. Includes excellent condition Spector hard shell case. Weight is approximately 9 lbs. Here are the specs as I'm aware of them:
  • 34" scale
  • Solid Maple wings
  • EMG-P neck pickup
  • EMG-J bridge pickup
  • Active EMG USA pickups with Spector active TonePump circuit
  • Graphite-reinforced 3-piece rock maple neck
  • 24-fret rosewood fretboard
  • Crown mother-of-pearl fretboard inlays
  • Gold-plated hardware: Spector solid brass bridge, Schaller tuners, and locking strap buttons

Price is $1000 shipped and insured, via Fed Ex, to anywhere in the continental US. Shipping to AK, HI, or Canada is a possibility, but please contact me for rates. Sorry, no other foreign transactions. Paypal accepted. I am considering a few trades below and would be willing to do gear + cash either way, but please, nothing else if it's not included on this list. I have more gear than I know what to do with and absolutely have to clear some stuff out.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

I'll be available to answer any questions and/or ship immediately until 3/14/13 when I'm having some fairly major surgery. As a consequence, it's unlikely that I'll be able to ship or even correspond much from 3/14/13 through 3/28/13 or so, but I'll do my best to respond to any inquiries just as soon as I can. Thanks for understanding.

That's not an LX. Yours predates the LX and is a Euro 4 with the sold maple wings. By the serial number it looks around 2002 or 2003. Great bass, I've got the same thing with a very close serial number which the year was confirmed by Spector.

It probably predates the Tone Pump too. Then they were using an EMG pre or an Aguilar in the early 2000's.

Killer bass! Love the color.

Pic added

Requested pic of control cavity has been added. Euro experts inform me! While taking it, I did notice the control cavity is missing one screw that I had never noticed. There also is some standard finish swirling in the back that only comes out under bright light and can't be captured with my photo skills.

I had always assumed so, but seems like some have raised the question. There is no identifying info on the box in the upper corner. Any input guys?

And, bump!

It's a non-trimpot Tone Pump. This bass is a 2002 manuf. Spector switched to the TonePumps in late 2000 or so.

Correct.

Not quite.
When the "Euro4/5" basses started in 2001, The Aggie OBP-1 was still being used. In early 2002 Spector started incorporating the Tone Pump as a replacement for the Aggie. Your serial puts it well past the cross over point into Tone Pump time.

Close. See above.
As you correctly stated, this serial could be into 2003 territory.
Mine is NB0508. Probably mid 2001. Still had a (long gone) OBP-1. Plus, the OBP-1 has an "Aguilar" sticker on the box.

Successful brain surgery bump. I'm at home recovering and able to answer any questions, but won't be able to ship for a week or two; thanks for understanding and all the support from the TB community.

Sleeping off my pain meds bump. Some interest, but the bass is still available. I've secured some assistance here at home and can ship fairly quickly for a committed buyer. PM if interested.
