FS: Brace Yourself! 2009 Sadowsky Candy Apple Orange P4 w/Nordstrand Big Singles

Sign in to disble this ad
Here's a pristine Sadowsky NYC Vintage Original P4 in gorgeous Candy Apple Orange Metallic. Specs:

FINISH | Candy Apple Orange Metallic
BODY | Swamp Ash
FINGERBOARD | Birdseye Maple, 12" Radius, 1 1/2" Nut Width, Vintage Tint
PICKGUARD | Graphite
HARDWARE | Chrome
PICKUPS | Nordstrand Big Singles
WEIGHT | 8.35 lbs. (3.79 kg)
PREAMP | Sadowsky Preamp with Vintage Tone Control | Download PDF

Original Purchase Price from Roger: $3,875. This bass features several upgrades over Roger's base (bass?) models, including: beautiful Birdseye Maple fingerboard; Vintage Tint applied to the neck; Graphite pickguard; and of course, the Nordstrand pup upgrade. As an added bonus, Roger signed and dated the back of the headstock.

Here's a link to the original listing: http://www.sadowsky.com/stock/view/5366.html

A couple of pix taken just this morning are attached, with more to follow.

I am the original owner, took delivery from Roger on 8/27/09. Bass has never been gigged, just enjoyed by me in my smoke-free home studio. It is pristine, in the same condition as when I took delivery less about 15 hours of my gentle playing time at home.

Comes with original Sadowsky Full-Size Soft Case, all accessories (polish, cloth, tools, strap locks), documentation, and Sadowsky factory shipping box.

The bass just thunders - the Nordstrand Big Singles are all about loud, aggressive, jazz bass tone. Jazz bass on steroids is how Carey Nordstrand describes them. I think they're actually more versatile, everything from rock to jazz to country sounds just gorgeous.

The only reason I'm selling is to fund a few custom guitars and basses. If you're looking for a great 4-string Jazz or P bass, this one provides the best of both worlds in an absolutely stunning package bolstered by Roger's famous pre-amp (Vintage Tone Control included!) and world-class setup.

Asking $875 less than what I paid just 2 months ago. Can be yours for $3,000, including UPS shipping and insurance to anywhere in the Continental U.S.

This is my 5th high-end bass for sale on TB after years of 100% satisfactory ratings on eBay. I have absolutely loved dealing directly with fellow TB-ers, and avoiding eBay transaction fees - in other words, my feedback is very important and I aim to please. So, please check my feedback and know that what you see is what you get.

Happy to respond to any questions/PMs - fire away! All reasonable offers will be considered!

Thanks for looking.

OMG!!! I was just drooling over that bass on the Sadowsky site last night.
I would say it's a sign..... however, looking at my bank acct., I don't think I can even afford the pickups.
Good luck with that beauty!!!!

LOL! Maybe it's a sign that you should stop looking at previously sold basses at the Sadowsky site!

Holy mother of awesome.

I saw this when it came out in the Sadowsky inventory update a few months ago and was poised to sell off the better half of my gear to snatch it up. No surprize it wasn't available for long.

That's perhaps the coolest looking bass that ever was......................................ever..

Damn.

I have no way to buy, just curious as to why you're selling it?

Always wonder why musicians buy things of this beauty only to sell it a month later.
