UPDATED!!!
Brice (Agile) 6 string Prestige Z bass - CUSTOM MADE - all gloss black, except for the maple fingerboard. Neck-thru, 34" scale, 19mm string spacing. $500 - shipping included to continental US.
Paypal accepted!
Details:
In my search for a neck-thru 34" scale 6 string bass with a maple board and 19mm string spacing, I found that such an animal does not exist in the affordable range.
So I had one made. Rondo Music of Brice fame made this for me, but had the Agile side make it because of the custom scale (34"...not the standard 35"). Black finish, black hardware, and gloss finish on body AND on the neck (also black - 5 piece neck thru design, though, just like the standard Brice Prestige Z line). The neck is a little thicker than I've become used to because it's a neckthru - but if you like that kind of thing, you won't be able to find anything like it out there (especially due to the maple board).
Only used it a two times (new job with extensive travel and NO time to play like before). Will come shipped in a gig bag!
Feel free to PM me with questions.
Thanks!
Z

Z | Fedex always seemed better for Us-Canada, to me at least.
Just a heads up, costs nothing to get a quote |

Rondo Music will do customs for you. You can't do body styles or pick your own body wood or electronics, but you can do made to order paint color, finish, scale, fretted or fretless, fingerboard wood and hardware color.
Since the Prestige Z has 19mm string spacing, the only thing I had to order "custom" was the paint, a 34 instead of a 35 scale, black hardware instead of gold or silver, and a maple board instead of rosewood.
The head says Agile because that's the side of the company (Brice/Agile/SX) that did the actual work.
And please, don't call me "Sir." My commanding officer was called "Sir." Marcy calls Peppermint Patty "Sir." You may call me "Professor" as my students do.
Thank you.

Action is really low (perhaps even too low with the new flatwounds I put on it), and the position dots are correct for a fretless - they're where the frets are supposed to be, so you can put your fingers on the dots for a good idea of where the notes are. You'll be used to the scale too. The string spacing is just a little tighter, but I don't think you'll be doing a lot of slap on a fretless.
IMHO, the Bartolini-pre really takes the sound to the next level. I already have a Brice V2 six string fretless (34 scale) with a three band Bartolini, and I'll put it up against anything out there. For a tone sample, click my MySpace link and listen to "Just Funkin Around." The fretless solo is my V2.
The fretted part is played on a Brice Prestige with a Bartolini which I sold, which is why I wanted to swap pre-amps. But, as the hands age, I'm leaning more and more toward bolt-ons with 34 scale just so I don't have to stick my hands in hot wax after a gig.
Let me know, and thanks!

Z | I do indeed still have the 35" scale Roscoe... and it is my favorite bass I've owned yet! The tone, feel, playability... I doubt it will ever leave the stable!
Don't get me wrong... I'm sold on your bass. If I had the cash right now, it would be in your paypal account with my shipping details! I'm not a slapper anyways, and I'm thinking the slightly tighter spacing on yours would make the fretless transition a bit easier. I really wish there was something I could do to make this happen. I'm going to dig around the garage and see if I can find any Craigslist fodder for quick cash, but I'm sure someone else will snag it before I get a chance! Anything non-bass related you're interested in trading for?
Thanks Professor!

Plus, T.B. Player is a 100% upfront, no BS guy. I have had the pleasure of multiple dealings with Mike through TalkBass, and he is honest, clear speaking, fair and certainly not the type to run a scam. Not to mention that the Brice Z6 basses are excellent as a stock item, and I can imagine that a built-to-spec bass would be even better.
Excellent pricing, super nice cat .... hope someone can capitalize on this great opportunity .... |

That means it's still available!!!
My wife was very excited to hear that a bass was leaving the house. I was very excited because it meant I can pay the next tuition payment for my son at college.
C'est la vie...
Let's make it $500 - shipping to continental US included with gig bag. Last chance before it's posted on ebay.

Now $500, shipped!!
Let's see -
Shipping - $30
Gig Bag - $30
That makes the real cost of the bass - $490. (New ones - can't get black, can't get black hardware, can't get 34" scale and can't get a maple board - are going for $460)
Not having to wait for a custom color, hardware, scale or fretboard and pay over $700 for it - priceless.
