The bass is in perfect condition.

I've played two gigs with it.

I bought my Brute directly from Kevin in April.

It's the best setup and playing bass I've ever owned.

I love Kevin's basses and the Brute is an extraordinary example at a ridiculous price point.

34" scale.

My Brute may be on the chopping block sometime soon.. I am just starting to become a fully functioning "flatwound" bassist, as I just dont like anything being too bright or zingy..

Great basses though! Especially this color scheme!

People, these really are GREAT basses . . . in both sound and playability!! Very easy to mod up too (I installed all Delano electronics . . . and WOW).

I upgraded mine with Bart pickups and an Aguilar OBP-3 and this bass kills. I also added a passive, single coil, series switch for my MM pickup. Beast mode!!!!!!

I was talking with Kevin about one of these just recently. Any issues with this bass? Any dings or cosmetic flaws? How does it sound?

Issues with the bass? None.
It's exactly the way it was when Kevin sent it to me.

Cosmetic flaws? None, other than what naturally occurs in the wood.
The pictures are pretty clear and accurate.

It sounds like a modern jazz bass with a 70's vibe.
It has double coil pickups in it so they're noiseless.
The Nato wood sounds more like alder than ash...
