SOLD: Brute JJX-4 w/Nordstrand NJ4 & Aguilar OBP-3

SOLD

I just picked up a well worn mojo-filled USATK5 to complement my PGB1. I seem to be lovin' these darn ATKs as I've now owned six of them... and I keep going back for more. This Brute is up for sale again.

$500 Paypal shipped CONUSA (only) takes a very nice Brubaker Brute JJX-4 already stuffed with premium Nordstrand single coil Jazz pickups and an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp. Serial #B-0049. This bass will cop a full range of "Jazz Bass" tones. It looks and plays great... but like any beauty... has a few flaws when you look close. There is a ding in the top edge of the lower bout below the bass/treble stack. There are a few small scuffs on the back edge of the lower bout. There are paint cracks at each corner of the contoured neck pocket. There is an area at the back corner of the bridge that has been touched up with white paint. The pickguard has a finely worn patina of hairline scratches. There is a very shallow ding on the back of the neck at the 4th fret. I could not get a pic. Other than that the neck and headstock are excellent. The frets are excellent as well. Weight: 9 lb. 4 oz . From more than a foot away this bass looks sweet.

Given the physical flaws I would rate this bass an 8/10. It looks really good, plays really great, and has an awesome range of tones at your finger tips.

The controls are Volume, Volume, Mid, Mid freq-select switch, Bass/Treble stack.

I'll ship in a clean & functional Roadrunner gig-bag that has a small tear at the bottom and one of the zipper pulls has been replaced by a key ring. I purchased the bass and bag in this condition. It appears to have been played and enjoyed... but not abused.

Check out the pics...

Bump for a cool bass! Mine got the same finish crack at the neck joint, wonder if that's common on these...
