FS: Carvin BB 5 string piezo option

Sign in to disble this ad
I've had this LB75 in my studio for about a year and a half and haven't played it much at all. I'm just not a 5 string player I guess. It's basically new. One of those things that I bought on a whim thinking I needed a 5. I do not. I never used it on a gig and it has no cosmetic damage I can see. It has a satin finish with an oil finished neck. It has the piezo option thus the black bridge hardware even though the rest of the hardware is chrome. It has a swamp ash body, stainless steel frets, rosewood board, rosewood knobs, and Dunlop straploks. Comes with the original case and all of the original paperwork including the warranty card that I never got around to sending in. This is a cool bass that plays and sounds great if you want a 5. The electronics are very flexible and the piezo option adds a whole different vibe to the sound. The neck is very comfortable and the bass balances nice on a strap. It weighs 9 pounds on my scale and right now has an almost new set of DR's with a high C. I'll string it anyway you want if you purchse it. 675.00 shipped to you in the lower 48 states. Paypal to a verified address and USA only.

Yes, Carvin soapbars and a Carvin 18volt preamp with controls for volume, pickup blend, bass, treble, sweepable mids, and piezo/pickup blend.

Do you have nut width and string spacing? Is this a 34 or 35 scale?

It is a 34" scale bass with a 1.75" neck width at the nut and 3.0" width at the 24th fret. It has a 14'' fingerboard radius and I'm not sure of the string spacing but it is about the same as my Jazz basses. I think it's about 17mm at the 24th fret but I don't have anything but a ruler to measure it with. You can look here for anything I have left out but this bass does have more options than the standard BB75 fivestring.

If this was an unlined fretless, you'd be able to re-sell it to me. Piezo would be neat for that, and the 19mm spacing is hard to find on fives. Good luck to you.

I have the same bass without piezo and with a birdseye neck, and it is an insanely versatile and fun bass completely stock. It doesn't need anything changed on it, not pickups, not preamp, nothing. If this was a 6'er it would be in my house already.

Great, great bass folks, totally under rated and you WILL love it!
