So I seem to have moved to the 5 string world, so time to sell these two 4's. I will try to post some pics soon.
I think it's probably only practical to ship either of these to the US48.
Carvin LB70P:
I'm the original owner of this 2003 active bass with piezo bridge. It's in very very nice shape, although it probably doesn't qualify as mint. It's quilted maple with classic sunburst finish, matching headstock. It's also got a tung oil back-of-neck finish, abalone dot inlays, and Dunlop strap locks were added recently. Tom Pellerito (great Detroit area luthier) has always looked after this bass and it is currently set up with Infeld Superalloys. Everything works great -- no problems. Comes with black hard shell case and I'll toss in a nice Carvin leather strap and a strange assortment of unused string sets that you might find interesting. My original cost was $1118. I'd like to get $600 plus shipping for this.
Steinberger Spirit XT-2:
A black passive bass I bought new in 2004. I bought this compact bass to carry on the occasional airplane flight. It works great for that, but ultimately I hope to find a 5 string in stock some day at musicyo.com. This bass didn't have the most even neck/fingerboard, so to make it more playable without spending a ton of money, Tom Pellerito leveled the frets, so some of them are pretty low indeed. This might or might not work for you. Includes gig bag. I'd like to get $150 plus shipping for this. |

I looked over the bass very carefully and the only thing I found is one ding on the bottom edge. It appears like a small white mark in the pic. Other than that, it is real clean. |

There are Bass, Mid, and Hi tone controls, and a switch for the bridge humbucker to switch between dual and single coil. Also, pulling up on the master volume switches from active to passive mode. |
