I recently bought this bass to use the electronics in another instrument. Would prefer to sell LOCALLY in Southern CA if possible to avoid shipping hassles. Otherwise I'll probably just part it out on ebay. The tuners alone are worth $50.
The pickup cavities were routed for EMG 40DC soapbars, so I
think they would also be a good fit for EMG 40HZ, 40CS, etc. I haven't confirmed this for sure....can't find EMG size specs online. The bass is in pretty good shape, with a few dings (see pics). 34" scale, Sperzel tuners, Wilkinson bridge, Dunlop straplocks, lined ebony fingerboard. The neck is straight and action is low, though it took considerable truss rod tightening to get it playing well. Nice quilted maple top and finish. It would make a good project bass for tinkerers, or a cheap option for someone who only plays fretless occasionally.
Sale includes Carvin molded hard case, truss rod wrench, and leather strap with straplocks.
