I just got my new Carvin SB5000. Its time to sell what has been my main go to bass since I purchased it from Commreman in 2009. The bass already had an Aguilar OBP-3 installed. I replaced the Carvin J's with a set of Bartolini 59CBJD L1/LN1's. Also comes with strap-locks. This is a great bass, with beautiful tones and a wonderful feel. I need the bread, otherwise I would keep it. It is worth at least $800, but being Carvin is weak as a resale, I will let it go for SOLD!!! shipped in its hard-shell case. This is a 15 yr old bass, in very good condition, with a paint chip ding on the back(see pic). SOLD!!!!
Great looking j style. I thought the earliest Carvins looked dorky so stopped paying attention but I'm seeing some great looking ones around here now including yours.
Thanks folks...here are some soundclips from a streaming live web show...please wade through the intro's and boring interviews to hear the bass with 2 different groups:
I can attest that this is a GREAT bass. Had I not had to have tendinitis surgery a few years ago and got pulled off fivers, I would have never sold this. This bass practically plays itself, and has monstrous tone. As a bonus, Craig is a very good, straight up guy to deal with.
Free bump for a great bass and a great guy!

Free bump for the upgrades on the preamp and pickups (I've always felt the pre was choking the LB75's). My LB75 came to life when I pulled the original pre and replaced it with an Audere.
