FS: Carvin SB4000 Crimson/Blackburst PRICE DROP

Sign in to disble this ad
FOR SALE: Carvin SB4000. Delivered December 2010 and in like-new condition. Crimson transparent with blackburst edges, maple neck/alder body, ebony fretboard, low-wide frets (feels a lot like Lakland frets), tung oil finish on back of neck, Icon-style headstock, black hardware and pickguard, Hipshot detuner, passive electronics. Plays beautifully and records great. It's a looker - the "stealth plus a burst of crimson" look I was going for worked out just as well as I'd hoped it would. I'm not sure of the exact weight, but it feels light as a feather compared to my ATK's. Hate to let it go, but it's tax time and I owe this year. Comes with Carvin black tolex case.

$750 SHIPPED via UPS Ground insured to anywhere in the lower 48. No shipping outside of the USA. Paypal and Postal Money Order accepted. Need to raise cash so no interest in trades at this time. Thanks for looking!

Don't get too hung up on the need for active. The passive SB4000 has a great jazz tone and the tone knob actually works very well on this model. You can really dial back the tone.

From what I understand, the J99A pickups are Alnico single coils.

Price now reduced to $800.

The look is growing on me - especially with the Icon headstock. I don't see how you do that on the Carvin site though.

Bump for a hot bass with sweet feel and sound! I myself prefer the SB headstock however, this one looks like a winner!!
