SOLD! Price Drop! 2011 Carvin SB4000 Koa Perfect/New Condition!

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD
I am selling my Koa SB4000 definitely not by Choice.
This is by far the best playing bass that I have owned. At this time I regretfully have to sell it. I really hope that I will be able to order another one like this in the future.
Received it new at the end of April 2011 direct from the Carvin Factory.
It has not left my home since I got it. There is NOT one single ding, scratch or mark of any kind on this bass at all ...It is in perfect/new condition. Weighs in at a nice comfortable 8.9 lbs. (I requested a light piece of Koa)
Has a new set of Fodera Diamond Nickel 45-105 strings on it too.(strings can be strung through the Bridge or through the back)
This is one of the few SB4000 basses I've seen out there that has the 14in fretboard radius. Standard is a 12in fretboard radius.
I had a Luthier make the custom Abalone truss rod cover.

Here are the specs:
SB4000
Right Handed $869.00
19mm string spacing
KOA - Maple Neck/Koa Body (requested light piece of Koa) + $150.00

1-1/2" or 1-5/8" Nut? Pretty sure Carvin will build you either one on a 4000.

Would one of you eight balls PLEASE buy this bass? Every time TK4261 drops the price on it, I end up having a fight with my wife about whether or not I can buy this bass. So far I've got a fat lip, a broken femur, and a detached retina. And she said that if she has to listen to me whine one more time about this bass, she's going to hit me where it really hurts.

I think that means she's going to break the bass plucking fingers on my right hand.

Terriffic Deal

That's one helluva beautiful bass at one helluva great price.

Great instrument with all the bells & whistles.
I almost wish I was in the market for one . . . I'd snap this baby up in a heartbeat.

I've seen just Koa bodies alone sell for this much money.
This is a great playing bass. I'm surprised it hasn't sold fast.

Best of luck with the sale. You shouldn't have to wait much longer.

This could work

Okay. I have concocted a brilliant scheme to acquire this bass. This month Musician's Friend is running a promo whereby they are giving away $250 worth of gear for the best product review.

So, I wrote a product review for them which can be found here under the Reviews tab

Fender Vintage Reissue '65 Deluxe Reverb Guitar Combo Amp: Shop Guitars & Other Musical Instruments | Musician's Friend

When I win the $250, I'm going to use it to buy my wife $250 worth of guitar strings. She will then give me $250 towards this bass. That $250 plus the money as explained in the above link will get me most of the money that I need for this bass.

I'm a genius.

Unless one of you guys buys this bass before I do.

Damn it! If I had the cash I would buy this in a heartbeat!

Heard so many great things about these SBs and really loving that color scheme! It's to die for!

Maybe I should sell a kidney or a child.
