This is a great bass, but I'm just not a fretless player.
Alder body, maple neck, unlined ebony board. V/V/T (pull up for passive) plus stacked bass/treble controls. It sounds awesome either active or passive.
I ordered the bass in March and received it on May 13. It's in excellent ++ condition. No dings or scratches, just light marks on the fingerboard from nickel roundwounds. I recently conditioned the board and restrung it with D'Addario Half Rounds.
Comes with a nice hardshell case. $800 shipped, continental U.S. only. No trades.

Bummer that the fretless didn't work out Dave. I'm sure that this bass just kills with the ebony board and JJ P/U's!
Classic looking bass! |

I was frantically searching the for sale ads looking for a fretless SB but could not find one. Gave up the search and played the gig with my fretted SB.
At this point, that band doesn't have anything else booked right now, so no need for fretless for the foreseeable future now. But here's a free bump |

I am looking for a 5 for my church and smooth jazz gigs. Was thinking fretted, but this is really tempting. I love playing my fret less Mouse. |

This bass is just about as good as new, and would cost you more than $1,000 if you ordered it today.

If so, then I'd HAVE to buy it immediately Until then I gotta wait for me thing to sell. That bass is exactly like the one I used with the group weekly during the summer sans the tusq nut. Great bass, so versatile and expressive. It's nice to break free of the oppressive fret shackles now and again |

I've build a quite a couple of fretless 5's and I had more $$$ in parts than Dave is asking for this minty SB5000.
This would be a great way to enter the world of fretless. These SB5000's just kill in every way. There's as good as any Fender style bass that I've ever played! |
