The headstock has a nick otherwise no issues:
Being the owner of an SB5000 as well, I can imagine that is one HELL of a fretless.
I was debating about buying a fretless version, and this would be perfect, though I'm currently ok with my current fretless.
Stared at this exact bass more times than I care to admit when it was on Carvin's in stock page. I have since continued to buy basses - 2 more 5 strings, and a loaded P5 body waiting for a neck. If I didn't have compulsive buying 'issues', I'd be once again staring at this one. Look at the back of the neck - the mahogany gives such a nice "roasted" tone to this one - you just don't see that on any in-stock Carvin's. GLWTS - free bump.
very nice! I had a 2 piece mahogany neck on a Carvin 7 string guitar for a while and it was awesome, and felt sooo good in the hand. GLWTS!
Sent a PM.
That is some sweet quilting...
I have a fretless SB5000 (which I also bought from Jarrett! Hi!!) and while it sat around for a while it is now my main electric bass. A truly superb instrument. Now I only wish I had a fretted one too! Someday...
Hey Reuben, hope you are enjoying the bass.
Would love to buy it
but too bad you're not shipping outside the US.
I have a fretted SB4000 coming in, and this one would have completed the perfect set.
If you happen to have a friend in the US I could ship to and they pass it on, we could do that.
Thank you Jarrett for the offer
I'll check that on Sunday. I might have someone that's travelling there.
The question is will he be willing to take a bass guitar?:bassist:
I'll keep you posted.
Thank you very much
Wow! A bargain to be had here!!!!!!!!!
For transparency, this bass was $1500 new, I started the ad at $1100 used and have since dropped it down to $800 shipped. Just wanted to let everyone know I'm going to be holding at that price until at least 2014. If not gone by then, I will decide whether to drop more or just keep it at that point. It's just too good of a bass to let go for less.
This bass plays effortlessly. :bassist:
And Jarrett has been super-cool to deal with! :) - Thanks, Jarrett!
Congrats and glad you are digging the bass :D
