FS: CB (Cliff Bordwell Instruments) 'S' Bass - Almost new!!

FOR SALE ONLY, a dead mint CB 'S' Bass Custom 4- String, this beautiful and amazing instrument was completed a few months ago and has only a few hours playing time, IMO - this bass would pass for new!! Unfortunately I need to release some of my instruments, and this one is on the block as of now.

This is a wonderful opportunity to own a CB Bass Custom without the wait and at much less money!!

BTW - Cliff shared with me that not only is this his favorite wood combination, but this was his MOST resonate bass to date!! I have to say, I'm disappointed that I need to sell this

I simply want this bass because it is 6.5 pounds Luckily it doesn't have a maple fingerboard.

Yea, it's really an amazing blend of ash, ebony, redwood and pau ferro. Lightweight, resonant and perfectly balanced. I wish circumstances were different and I could hold onto it.

Beautiful bass!
What is the fingerboard radius?
Are you sure these are NJ4SV’s under the hood? the wood covers look pretty wide.

For anyone who is interested but hasn't played a CB. My opinion is that CB basses are the best I have played. Over all other basses I have owned, borrowed or played! Balance, sound, playability, construction are all second to NONE. This is a SWEET deal!!!

I agree. I've owned/played pretty much most of the high end basses out there, and this bass is would definitely fit in that category.

Yes sir, Nordstrand NJSV's humbucking split-coil jazz bass pickups are in it. I'll find out the fingerboard radius, which I think is standard on CB basses.

Beautiful bass! Sorry you have to sell it.

Also, I believe the standard radius on CB Basses is 16". Both of mine were.

Best,
Justin

I would like to take it off your hands but I would need to unload a few basses first.

FYI - I'm not looking for trades on this deal, I wouldn't be selling this bass if I didn't want the money.

This bass is haunting me. How is the setup right now? Plays like buttah, as they say?

Fast low action with no buzzing?

Smile

Did you play this bass already? LOL - Exactly low action, no buzzing, plays evenly across the range and as slick as butter.

I've got an offer in and an appointment to see it in person. I only hope this is soon mine!

Free bump in case my deal doesn't happen (but a warning to all of you to back off in the mean time! j/k)
