FS Celinder Custom 6

This is a great bass I just got from excellent TB'er Peter Champagne, I just cannot get used to 6 strings no matter how many times I try. This is a rare handmade bass by Chris Celinder from Denmark.

Here are the specs:

Mahogany Body
Ebony Board
Maple Neck w/ Purpleheart Stringers
Koa Top, backplate, headstock veneer and trussrod cover
36" scale, but very comfortable
Glockenklang 3 band preamp ( The original Greengrove preamp will also be included in the sale)
Armstrong radiused dual coil Celinder pickups (coil tap with small Fodera coil tap switch)
Protec semi-hard case
Near mint 9+ out of 10
Very clean and modern tone, as good of a modern sounding 6 as you can find
This is about as good as it gets in build quality and pretty rare to find in the US. By all accounts this would be a $6K + bass and take years to receive.

$2500 shipped via PayPal

Bump for a great bass! If you're a 6 string player, get it. If you haven't heard what 36" scale does for tone, you've got to check it out. Adam is also fantastic to deal with.

I gave up on the 6 strings pretty quick so only had it for a few weeks (not tons of hours on it), but I found the tone to be warm yet still very focussed and clear. I friend of mine played it and thought the tone was somewhere between and Smith and an Alembic which seems accurate. The 36 inch scale also contributes to the crisp and clearness of the tone IMO. It rips through a mix live, no getting lost, it was almost strange how well I could hear myself and every note.

Peter may comment also since he had it before I did and may have more details on the tone.
