FS:Charvel Eliminator

Sign in to disble this ad
Charvel Eliminator with OHSC

The Eliminator units were made in 90-91. It has a 24 fret neck and it seems to be a flatter radius, with a nice shallow depth to make it a very fast neck. The serial stamp on this one indicates possibly a 1990 model. The body is in pretty nice shape overall and the previous owner had tape wounds on it so there virtually no fret wear. Active pickups with a Jackson High mass bridge that came stock.

Pics Below.

$225.00 shipped.

Reopening this as I've taken some more pics. I tried to take them in natural light.... I think it made the body seem a touch more orange, it is a bright, almost chrome red...

These are reflections on the back

Neck is thin, straight and fast.

they stopped making them out of poplar for 2 reasons according to the sheets I read:

#1 poplar was getting more expensive in the late 80's which would have jumped up the final cost to consumers for all basses made in the 90's if they continued to use it.

#2 everybody and their mother was bitching about 10lb+ basses....

sorry you have to see it go, but I'm sure there will be others in the future.

Thanks again, I thought it was Alder but wanted to get our resident Charvel/Jackson expert to weigh in.

well now let's hope someone here wants it before you put it on ebay......

also, no hassle helping you out with a live video around to show people what it sounds like approx.

well at least what it sounded like with my rig and eq settings

Yeah hopefully that vid will help people get a feel for these great underrated basses...

And I really would much rather avoid evilbay if at all possible.

Checked the 'blue book' of vintage guitar prices this weekend, and it lists in 'excellent' condition for $325 and good condition for $300, I wouldn't call this 'mint' but I would call it excellent, considering it's a '90 bass. So get it now for $275 shipped in it's case and have some 'equity' left over.

It's a nice bass, and with cutbacks at work and my motherboard dying on my PC got to liquidate something, so we can only see if it's around that long...

I would have already bought it Red, but that bodystyle just can't fit the way I play. ( or I would have kept the other red one I sold to Rusty ).

If I bought it it just to add to the Charvel collection would sit unused and that would suck.

Yeah, that wouldn't be good, it's a good bass and needs to be played.

And Rusty needs his next one to be White, not another Red one.

I have 2 of mine listed in CL for 2 weeks now. By the end of next week they will be on Ebay I like TB classifieds, but to have 5000 people look, and 5 say "maybe", is not as good as 72 million looking, and 5000 possibly wanting to buy the item....

as dreadful as ebay is, what alternative is there anymore for the masses to see your product??
