I'm selling my gorgeous hand-made Clover Apeiron H4 because I'm broke as hell, I never get to play it & I'm possibly going to be moving country later this year.
The bass is maybe 2 years old, I've probably taken it out of its case less than 50 times - it's been incredibly well looked after and as such you'll find it in perfect condition.
I got a black pickguard for it so it has awesome, classic good looks... I literally only have one pic of it on my computer, and it's low resolution (sorry). It's from one of the only gigs I did with it (out of maybe 3 or 4):

You're more than welcome to come and play it although it'll have to be through my computer / monitors or through my guitar amp as I sold my bass amp recently... alternatively, you're welcome to bring your own amp and try it with that.
If you already know what they're like, then you're equally welcome to buy it right off the bat without having played it....

Apeiron H Edition series with "The Hybrid" pickup system
The Apeiron H-Edition bass fully integrates the unique concept of the Delano
"The Hybrid" pickup system which is not to be compared with normal splitable humbucker designs. Learn more about this pickup at the bottom of the page.

The centre position (at 12:00) is flat, rotating the control clockwise will boost and rotating the control counter clockwise will cut the tone. * A specially designed pot that works as a classic passive tone control in the single coil mode and as an active treble EQ in the parallel humbucking mode.

The toggle switch controls the Apeirons integrated "The Hybrid" mode management by switching the pickups internal wiring, activating or de-activating the EQs and changing the signal paths simultaneously to shift between the both classic sounds at one touch. When the toggle switch is in towards the neck position the passive single coil mode is activated (full bodied early 60´s single coil characteristics with true hardware-bypass and passive tone control). When the switch is in towards the bridge position the Apeiron works in the biting humbucking mode (low resistance parallel bridge pickup coils and two-band active electronics).
Tech note: In the humbucking mode, you´re able to combine the hybrid pickup with the neck pickup, too. This is an additional feature. But take note, that use of the neck side single coil pickup in may cause hum (Apeiron H Edition only), if driven with the active electronics. To achieve an authentic sound, you should turn the balance knob fully backwards - and so your bass is hum-free. Apeiron HP Edition basses have a hum-free split-coil humbucker in neck position.

The integrated switch manager lets you get both of these great classic sounds at the touch of a toggle, each one reconstructed exactly in its original form with all its strengths and nuances of character: Passive function in single-coil mode, active function with the DELANO SONAR 2- or 3-band EQ activated in Humbucker mode. The internal switching of the pickup is lightning fast, too! For maximum sound authenticity we recommend the custom neck version of our J™-single coil JC4AL/H or JC5AL/H for the neck position. With both pickups switched on, this JJ-arrangement typically produces a noise-free output.
No trouble with treble:
The ’Hybrid’ set includes a specially designed treble pot that works as a typical passive tone control for the J™-sounds in the passive mode and doubles as the active treble EQ in the Sting Ray™ setting. The neutral setting is located conveniently in the middle position; when switching, it’s easy to get the basic settings you need.
Additional features:
In the humbucking mode – we call it ’Ray’ mode – you’re able to combine the hybrid pickup with the neck pickup, too. This is an additional feature. But take note, that use of the neck side single coil pickup typically causes hum, if driven with the active electronics. To achieve an authentic ’Ray’ sound, you should turn the balance knob fully backwards – and so your bass is hum-free.

JC 4 AL
The DELANO JC series are retrofit pickups for standard Jazz Bass™ type instruments and can be installed in any kind of bass with similar pickup routings. All JC series four and five string pickups use standard four string size shells (covers). Special five string JCs will fit into Fender USA™ five string Jazz Basses™ made after the mid nineties.
