I really like this bass but don't play it enough, so I thought I'd post it and see what happens. The Bart pre-amp really opened up the sound on this bass. I had planned to swap out the pups but found it unnecessary after installing the new pre. Quick note - It's wired at 18v with one 9v in the factory battery cavity and the other in the main cavity. Very wide tonal spectrum to choose from, especially with the 3-way mid switch. And very quiet too (just a slight hiss with the treble at 9 - 10). The action is the best I've ever played on anything under $2k . . . nice and low with no buzz! Appearance and condition are 9+/10. Near mint - just a small dimple on the back that was there when I got it - too small to photograph.

I bought this new about 14 months ago for ~$400. The Bart pre, installed about 8 months ago, cost me another $170, plus installation costs.

I'm asking $375 shipped.

Shipping to CONUS/Lower 48 included in price. Canada, AK, HI - I'll ship but at an added cost - please PM me if interested.

PayPal preferred . . . will also accept USPS MO.

PICS:

Thanks for looking!!

It is adjustable I think from 15.5mm to 17mm. I've got it set at the max and it measures 17mm.
This is one of the main reasons I'm not playing this one much anymore. I used to love close spacing but now with my Brute as my main bass I've gotten so used to the 19mm spacing that it's difficult to go back down.

That think looks beautiful. What's it weight? Also, what's the neck on it like?

Wt.: 8.5 - 9 lbs. on my bathroom scale (seems to be pretty accurate).

They call it a "modern C shape", it feels a lot like a fender Jazz neck to me . . . although it's narrower with tighter string spacing then a Jazz 5.

Okay sweet, how's the neck finish feel? I guess what I'm asking is, would you describe it as a fast neck? Also, do you have any specs on spacing at nut, 12th fret, etc?

The neck is fast . . . not sanded to a 100% smooth finish, but not rough either . . . IE; it's sanded but not coated/finished (you can feel some of the wood grain but I've never noticed it while playing . . . in fact never noticed until now when asked).

Nut width is 1-3/4" with 9mm spacing . . . 12th fret width is 2-3/8" with 12mm spacing.

Thanks for the questions.
