They don't make these anymore....
It's a 5 string Cort Curbow fretless. It has a brand new neck from the factory. The original neck was a 1 piece, this is the newer 3 piece that I had to wait 5 months to get from Korea! They didn't have any in the Burl color, so they shipped a black one. Neck was professionally installed and set up by a luthier here in LA.
It's a player that sounds and plays great. The preamp is a little wonky, in that it is a little flaky when turning on the 'slap' switch. It doesn't seem to adjust smoothly. I never use that and it works as desired without using that switch. I have replacement pre on the way, but this price reflects the bass as is.
It is currently strung with LaBella tapewounds.
So I'm looking at $299 + 1/2 shipping.
SOLD!!!!

It has side dots for the fret positions and that's where you put your fingers to get the notes, so it's actually not difficult to play.

Now you're really tempting me, it looks like a beautiful bass. |

Now you're really tempting me, it looks like a beautiful bass. | With this bass, and some other fretlesses (usually the better ones), the side dots mark where the actual fret would be, so it's a just a matter of pressing where the dots are.
If you look at the side dots of your fretted bass, you'll see that those side dots line up with the dots on the fretboard and are in-between frets. Some fretless basses (like some cheaper ones I once had) are like this, and that makes playing trickier, as you have to finger the note in between the dots.
I'll try to get some pics, but that's the explanation in a nutshell.

As far as the B, it's nice and defined and sounds great with the tapewounds.

Once you dial in the adjustable preamp sounds great.. very Bissonette sounding.

What is that on the body between the end of the actual fingerboard and the pickup that makes it LOOK like the fingerboard extends to the pickup?

Actually, that would be the neck. The fingerboard has that little 'swoop' where it levels out to the level of the body, but all the black that you see is the neck. Yes, it goes that far in!
