FS Cort / Elrick RB5 w/ Nordstrand Electronics

Here, for sale, is a Cort / Elrick RB5.

Ash body with maple top
Three piece maple neck with rosewood fingerboard.
35" scale
Nordstrand NJ5SE pickups in soapbar shells.
Nordstrand 3 band preamp with Vol, Vol, Treble, Mid (400Hz), Bass, active / passive switch.
Maple knobs.
Weighs in at 9 lbs.

This is a great playing and sounding bass that I am only selling because I just purchased a new bass. I unfortunately have the rule: one in, one out. I just feel more at home on 22 fret instruments.

As I am particular about providing full disclosure, this bass has some flaws. I bought it used and when I got it it had seen better days. It had some dings and really bad buckle rash. Also, the Bartolini pickups were seriously gouged. I had the body sanded and refinished and the frets leveled. Also, the pickups and preamp are now changed. The buckle rash is now gone but a few gouges on the back of the body by the control plate remain. This is only on the back.

Despite that, she really is a great bass. Very articulate, focused, with a nice tight B string.

I'm sorry but I can't entertain any trades at the moment. (My wife will likely trade me instead.)

I'd like to think that $550 shipped to the 48 contiguous states would be fair (as I originally paid $600 for the bass and over $400 for the electronics.)
